ready, steady...TRAIN! MAKE A DASH FOR IT!

Every morning as the birds twitter in the trees and people bustle around the house getting ready for work, there is a rare sight to behold on the streets around East Richmond station.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'M GOING TO MISS THE TRAIN!" huffs little lucy as she makes her daily dash to the station. She can make it from her house to the station in a flat 3mins if the need arises. Swerving through traffic (I don't believe this is legal...), dodging prams, overtaking elderly people...she does it time and time again.

Yes it's true, i've actually had the privilege of being included in a few of these morning dashes. And quite frankly my dear...I don't know how you do it every morning. I practically almost collapsed halfway from the exertion. Somehow I just don't have it in me to keep it up for the whole journey. This my dear is a hidden talent of yours, and I for one tip my hat off to you.



According to lucy, on one morning: "Today I ran for the train, but the lady who walked made it there on time anyway..."

Ps. I'm on "holidays" now! Well not really, more like a chance to catch up with uni work. =.=;; i'm also going to manifest tomorrow!! so excited :] KYOUYA COSPLAYS BEWARE YOU SHALL ALL BE MINE.

in a world of my own.

I discovered today that when I'm in a really good book I'm oblivious to everyone around me. Let me set the scene of how I found out. I just recently bought Will of the Empress by Tamora Pierce and was reading it as I got on the city train back home.

Quyen: Smells a delicious smell *sniff sniff*
"oh it's coming from a box from the person sitting next to me"
*ignores smell and continues reading*

Person: removes lid and fidgets with it

Quyen: ignores smell and continues reading "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THIS BOOK. WOW."

Person: continues to fidget

Quyen: *phone vibrates* fumbles about looking for phone
looking at phone...missed all from...Larry. "why is he calling me? hmmm"

Person: "HEY QUYEN"

Quyen: whips head around...LARRY?!!?

so it turns out the person sitting next to me was my friend larry :] Who hoped to get my attention with his awesome smelling lunch from Don Don's. But having the one track mind I have I just managed to ignore everyone around me whilst buried in my book ^___^ sorry larry. I didn't notice until Tooronga station and only then because he pranked me to get my attention. hehehe~

Also I wanted to put a note here saying THANK YOU FRIENDS for your lovely comments :] ie. Peter and Shells. You two put this post on my blog today! <3 I also wanted to say, Yes lucy I know you read my blog and I know you would comment as soon as you figure out how. running the risk of sounding selfish...

I don't care anymore! I'm only going to blog if I receive at least one comment for the last blog I've posted. yes I did see a female body builder taking photos of her greased up body in an australian bikini once when I was at the gym. *shudders* and no i'm not really doing weight training but I do do weights to "tone" ^___^ and no I don't run on the treadmill since I'm too afraid of the above happening so I use the cross trainer...and I row ( '.' )b ~"row row row your boat..."

I have just recently stumbled across my new favourite drink! YES STRAIGHT VODKA. lol no. It would probably make me blind.

Well anyhow my new favourite drink is any milky chocolate drink pack. i would say juice pack...but it's not really juice is it? I know it might not seem WOW but it's what you do to it before drinking it!

1. Grab a "milk pack"
2. Leave it in the freezer for a while, just it enough for it to start freezing but not frozen. I'd say an hour or so.
3. Take it out and just put it in the fridge for 15mins, just so it melts a bit so it's shakeable.
4. Now DRINK! : D

oh man. it tastes just like an iced choclate you get at Gloria Jeans (c). MMMMMMmmmm. Or like a thickshake...well not as thick as in milky thick. It tastes even better if it's an Up and Go. oh man.

Thanks goes to adri for intro'ing me to Up and Go (therefore Mai Mai? who inspired her first) to keep me awake in lectures :] But the freezer bit was all myself x]

i would like to dedicate this post to a very dear friend of mine who scolds me for not updating the link from her life to mine. Here's blogging to you! SO COMMENT DARLING :]

anyhow. Back at uni! But this semester has quite a delightful twist to it, it would also hopefully explain some of my reclusive behaviour this semester. Basically *takes deep breath* I failed 2 subjects last semester. yeh i've only recently become resigned to the idea recently, previously it's been too sore of a subject to discuss to anyone let alone to blog about :/ But what happens now is that i'm allowed to continue all of my subjects because of some weirded out thing that is happening to my course next year making it hard for me to repeat the subjects. On the condition that I
pass everything... which seems daunting for someone like me who hasn't gone through a single semester with passing ALL my subjects.

so yeh. sorry dudes if i can't go to everything :]

ummm. not much else has happened. that i can think of off the top of my head. i've watched dark knight and it was awesome? what more can i say that a billion other ppl haven't already said about it. oh i wouldn't mind a batman tshirt! someone at uni as a superman as well as a batman tshirt T_T looks so cool, but also slightly lame... :P

hmmm i've been interested in hair designs now? i'm so bored of my hair, it just hangs limp *prods* when it's voluminous it's just too bouncy. bleh~ i was thinking of braids but then too much effort. *shrugs* i can't cut it since i'm meant to grow it long and see how it works out.

pretty mundane and boring stuff. oh i ate an awesome tuna sandwich with avocado and jap mayonnaise. that was pretty exciting for me :D

i'm looking forward to watching Wanted. I love Angelina's action movies.

oh the other night we had an awesome girls bonding session after lighting sky lanterns in the city and chilling out over max brenner's. had myself a slice of their waffle with strawberries with a side order to girly gossip hehehe. my uni girls are an awesome bunch.

tired now :] enjoying a lot of books lately which reminds me. i've started my matthew reilly book collection! 3 cheers for me!! hahaha. oh to let everyone know. Six sacred stones is selling for $12.88 at target, hardcover. very cheap i assure you. also fearless fourteen by janet evanovich is also selling can't remember how much. i really want a house with a library one day. hehehe.

howdy all! I've sort of been out of communications for a while, well since my birthday x3

The reason for this is that i've been on a road trip to RYE as well as an interstate trip into sydney! :D so yeh understandable i think. So i apologise to all those who sent me lovely birthday wishes, but i was unable to reply to. Thank you so much you guys! It felt lovely to be remembered on your birthday. See i way i think about it, it's not even your birthday yet you still managed to remember mine, and that rates pretty highly already. YET you guys bothered to send me a say or send me a message which is like superbly awesome for me! thanks again guys :]

I wanted to share a few of the wonderful things i received, so here goes!

Not all of these I'm afraid hehehe I received the Jane Austen collection DVD with Emma, Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey on it. I recently bought North and South while on my trip ^___^;; oh man getting so poor now. But my Regency collection is GROWINGGGG~


Davidoff Perfume which smells heavenly~ And so i now have a Davidoff perfume collection...you only need 2 items to start collecting ;P


A super duper clock with mine and all my friend's faces on it! hahaha thanks so much guys! love it and it's ticking away on my wall :] i do have some difficulty reading it since i have to constantly count. (it's currently five minutes to Duong O'clock!)

mmmhmmm yummy! I've been cooking the soups in here and they're fabulous for winter! can't wait to try all the other yummy foods like the hot pot and tempura *drools*

yups and that's about it! One final picture of my birthday dinner table :D a mixture of korean + vietnamese foods! sort of a korean BBQ thing ^__^ Thanks to everyone who came and ate all the massive amounts of fooooooood and played my lame games. I'm working on the videos but at the rate i'm going...dunno when you guys will get to see them.

I'll just write briefly about my sydney trip. Spent a week in sydney exploring and mainly shopping. Went to a few of the main attractions like Harbourside! General impression is that it's very crowded and the streets are small and there are ALOT of koreans. So many nice korean shops which cost alot :/ but lots of cute asian toy shops around! Had an awesome pie at Market City and Yumcha too. Ate awesome dessert at George's in...somewhere? I didn't get to eat at Habib's in Bankstown but I shall one day for there famed chips and souvlaki's. Visited a few sydney bars, but since i haven't been to many i can't compare really. :P Visited china town...it was much more "china" than melbourne's! hahaha there were tables outside and it was SUPER crowded and street vendors, exactly like any asian city. but overall had a wonderful time and a huge thank you to my travelling buddy Noodle for putting up with my true slobbiness! oh and sydney driver's are scary. x___x but there are lots of hawt cars around *drools* and now my holidays are over!

back to uni tomorrow. : ( but one more semester and then super long holidays! YAY FOR UNI HOLIDAYS. but the sooner work is coming towards me :x

Queen Nefertiti's beauty

"Space Train" - okies not really but on the way home from the city around 6pm, between Burnley and Heyington there is this bit of road that always has a huge line of cars. Outside is practically pitch dark and all you can see are a row of red lights (tail lights) it was like i was on a space train traveling through the galaxy with a bunch of strangers. Seemed like a huge metaphorical thing ^___^;;



On the train I was standing and happened to be reading a page from this lady's book "The temple of a Million Years". Some of the phrases were just funny like "Queen Nefertiti's beauty was like the dawning star in the night sky..." well something like that. the description just made me smile. :]

Driving from the station I was behind a car that had a number plate RBC*** and guess what popped into my head? Red Blood Cell!! ah~ chemistry is taking over my mind :] I love number plate games! So many inventive things to be made.

Ps. Not much study done today, mainly comprised of cheering ourselves up from the Biochem exam which was a complete flop :( But what did cheer us up was PINKCAKEBOX BLOG which is a Wedding Baker's blog YUMMY and oh so beautiful. Cakes will always be one of my passions.

Check out this truly magnificant cake they made. Yes it IS COMPLETELY EDIBLE. *sighs at the flowers* think how tasty it would be *___* yumyum!!

Well honestly women are curvy, and the way I see it aren't they curvy everywhere? So then where's the WRONG place to have curves? Or maybe they're referring to a convex curve instead of a concave one? heheh Can you imagine your head having a chunk of it curving the opposite way. Funny image for me anyway :P

Just like any other self-respecting girl I can happily say I know some things about being a girl, but i did not know about last bottom right hand bra strap... I've honestly never seen it before, what a strange concoction. It's like...a T bar. hehehe Puts me to mind of a certain pair on undies made by an Australian granny...ah not appropriate topic to discuss ^___^;;

mmm. i just needed to destress, trying to study for exams and bleh~ i feel so drained. I saw a few of my old school friends while at uni library trying studying. awww I miss you guys so much >w< caught up with them on what's been happening in their lives (not much as happened in mine so not much to talk about me =.=) and they all sound like they're well on the way to achieving their future dreams. This is what it's like to be young! I'm still working on my dreams. I have so many random ambitions popping up now and then :P and i might not achieve ALL of them to full capacity but i wonder if i can even have a nibble of each one? like my idea of owning a small cafe one day :] A really really fun one! we shall see.

Today overall has been a pretty awesome day. Apart from the odd Med Chem lecture where i just fell asleep, and got a crick in my neck, but i figured I deserved that. I'm so proud of myself for managing to go to the gym in the morning, besides I was so warm after the gym anyway so it was like YEAH I'M KEEPING FIT AND STAYING WARM sort of thing despite all the foggy unamusing atmosphere. ^__^

I spent the rest of the day at Lucy's house completing our Med Chem test and studying Metabolism. Med chem was like OH DEAR WE KNOW NOTHING T_T hahaha~ i predict much revision ahead! Tiff joined us later and we just spent the afternoon chilling and just enjoying the relaxed studying pace :] during one of our many breaks lucy showed us this Rove Live clip! so funny! Later when I got home I finally realised the new printer can read SD cards! It's really quick in transferring files too. So now i'll be able to upload all my random pics that i've been hoarding, like the one above of my completed Tamora Pierce collection! After nearly 9 years of missing the first book (the one with the red cover) i finally bought it off ebay with the same edition cover! SQUEEE~ hahaha. But yes I shall slowly upload appropriate photos when I feel like it and provide visual aid to the tapestry that is my life. :] so be patient you all and keep checking back cause I'll slowly get it all up!

I'm currently inspired to turn the videos i took of my family's trip to tasmania into a DVD so we can all watch it! YAY! hehehe~

Before I go I just wanted to write about my Quest for awesome Za Jiang Mein (炸酱面) - chinese or Ja Jang Myeon 자장면 - Korean. ummm it's a korean noodle dish, that is also present in chinese cuisine. At the moment I've only tried it at two places and both have been chinese versions. I think I shall go try the korean version next :]


This one was takeaway from Bob's Kitchen on Kingsway, and yes it does looks slightly off but OH MY GOODNESS it is very good for its price, which is around $6.50. It's basically rice noodles (the square kind...) with a dried pork sauce with some cucumbers. Different restaurants have different versions so you just have to keep trying to find the right one for you. This one is very simple but I think it's much better than the one I tried at the Rock Kung Chinese Restaurant. I didn't take a photo of that one (trust me it wasn't worth the effort) so very salty! I had to mix in extra rice and split the dish in half just to be able to finish it. So very very salty *shudders* but the spiciness was good :] still questing for a better version though!

EDIT: I nearly forgot to blog the reason for my title. I was on the same train as Michael from High School! WAH. Cause lately i've been starved of contact with Glenny people I was just so excited to see him. But it was weird, cause back in high school I didn't really talk all that much with him but then when i saw him i was just like BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH = lots of happy talking :D so that was a wonderful end to my day.

Citric acid cycle = pretttyyy <3>__> DID YOU FALL ASLEEP AND MISS YOUR STATION? So i got off and did a lap of the station and entered a different carriage, like any new train go-er ^__^ so the lesson learnt was set an alarm for approximate time I'd get to my station.

I was just thinking this on the train in the morning, well the phrase "She went pale under her make-up" to describe someone's nervousness or anxiety causing the blood to drain from their face. But how can you tell if they're going pale under their makeup if make up is there to cover stuff up? oh the contradictions of the English language ^___^ I think I shall learn some more French from Mounsier Chun-Hin. all i can remember at the moment from studying french for 2 years is: J'taime de Manger. hehehe~

btw i did dress nicely today, I was thinking French with the whole frilly shirt and awesome scarf, but Duong thought Air Hostess. Heh~ Too bad most of our girls couldn't be bothered coming into uni today since we only had one morning lecture. lazy bums! gee~ =.= well I studied hard so I'm glad I went. Oh. The Fudge slices at Primary Cafe (eh in our new building) is heavenly...when ppl ask me what fudge is I thought it was like a small condensed form of chocolate cake, but less ... rich? moist? it's perfect. :]

I can't wait till summer comes around and it's FINALLY warm enough to wear summer dresses again! I was just having a mini discussion with Lucy today (after cramming our minds to max capacity) that we should try to wear young clothes while we can still get away with it. Seriously our clothing range just drastically shrinks as you grow older. :( darn you old age!

this discussion was sparked by youtube videos of Imogen Heap (in our short study break of course :P). But seriously her style is just so unique and it really works for her too :O

i'm sick of winter and being unable to get up cause of the coldness. It's also why i'm always so late catching the train...don't really want to leave my house where it's nice and warm :3 i've been using my beret more, i'm very thankful for the person who bought me it! ty ty <3 so I think i shall wear something fun tomorrow just to make up for the past lazy hobo week when i cbs :D

oh gosh. sudden degression in the way of moods

it's funny how just a few hours, maybe even just a few minutes can turn one from a perfectly normal mood into a self-pity-ing mood. just a fair warning that this is one of those sad lonely posts. dw i hate it when i'm in this mood too but once i finish it i'll feel better. just to reflect my inner self stature i'll adjust my font size accordingly

ok so basically just...somehow I managed to catch up on what all my older friends have been doing lately, not directly from them since it's been a while since I've seen anyone other than those I see at uni (sad point #1). It just seems to me as if I'm not really doing much with my life, I don't seem to have done anything to be proud of like learn a new skill or anything (sad point #2). I just seem to be getting more childish and shallow and just not having the beginnings of the person I shall one day be (sad point #3). When looking at others it looks like they're all maturing nicely, forming really close buddy buddy life long friendships and all travelling towards that setting sun together.
I'm nearly 19 years old obviously I'm still a student and studying so not much of a career can happen yet, but still comparing now to like 2 years back when I graduated high school not alot has changed. I admit I've learnt to drive and not many people have done that yet, but in our day and age it's not exactly something amazing. My mentality, or daily sort of thought is to just live each day cheerfully and just slowly take it as it comes. But it's not like that really helps anyone nor does it seem to do anything at all. It's like... oh ok quyen you're sort of living in your own little world. It's like that episode of the simpsons where Bart sells his soul to Newhouse and then he has that dream where he's left to row by himself, and instead is just left floundering alone.
It's not like I'm feeling pathetic or depressed or anything, just inadequate and it just seems like that when I type it all out it definitely seems like wallowing in self-pity. yes well I can't help it, and I know if i was my normal self and looking at my present self I'd say (with much impatience) "omg dude go fix your own life and stop whining, we all have our own problems" and all I can say is "yes I know, but just right now I don't feel the normal energy I would feel." well i don't think I can say much more without going into specific details about the people who are all getting along awesomely with their lives, so i better just leave it there.

ok. not let's hope for an awesome day tomorrow~ It shall be a little cold but I have a 6 hour break, so study study for this week's tests!! :D today must me a blogging record for me :O so many posts!

You know what! I reckon I'm in a transitionary phase. I might be not doing much now but at the moment i'm trying really hard to become the adult I wish to one day be! I guess you're thinking "wow how can she have such weird mood swings" honestly I can't answer that since I don't really know, i guess i get easily influenced. I want to one day have my own house and my own garden patch and my own awesome kitchen and awesome furniture! But in order to achieve this dream I'll have to work through all the bad patches and enjoy all the good ones, and there are times i'll feel down and lost and desolate, but just like plants I'll just keep on growing! hahaha~ i realised that was random but somehow in my own muddled mind it made sense (eg. blog had images of growing plants to cook-> wants to grow my own garden -> therefore cheered up by hope of one day achieving dream because others have managed it) Well i realised in muddled way that I can't be like other people, I have my own separate issues that don't allow me to be what people determine to be the norm, but hey i'm A-OK. i'll just stick to my own path and one day i'll make it there. :] there are many roads in life and it takes many different people to tread them. so you know what sad-lonely-degressional-backward-quyen? be a sometimes quyen! make sure you're a minority >:) because present-hopeful-quyen refuses to give into you! and one day i'll make myself proud, so therefore at the moment be who you are!

ps. dear future quyen! you need to remodel your blog to give yourself a new image. I'm thinking something more personalised and smarter looking. :] but that can wait till the holidays.

well from the directions of my googling you can probably tell i currently have a creme caramel addiction/obsession whatever you want to call it xP~ but damnnn does it taste fine!
it's probably because one of my dad's friends wives makes it and when we went over to eat at their house she made some and mum learnt how to make it and now i'm in heaven ^___^;; but the thing is ours is much more egg based than the normal ones you can get from the supermarket? well who cares as long as it tastes ok i'm not complaining :D apparently the creme caramel came is a french dessert and i've decided that one day i shall travel on a FOOD TOUR! c'mon guys save up money and come with me!! i'll do italy and france and germany and switzerland and thailand and japan and any other great tasty country >__>

hmmm oh yes the point of this post was to let people know i'm not dead ^___^ i know i haven't talked to people in ages but yeh i am busy studying for exams and i'm trying to be healthy... in a way >__> oh man~ darn you pringles i just had a handful just then =.= actually i should be cursing winter for making me feel like eating so much!! grrr~

OH which leads me onto another very important matter... CHESTNUTS. they're my other obsession at the moment :] it's one of my favourite bonding activities with people...picture this, a warm gas heater on, two people (me and my sister) sitting on opposites sides of the dinner table with a bowl of chestnuts between us with newspaper spread out, picking at out chestnuts :] yeppp~ that's what we do! and it's really fun cause most of the time i'm better at it than she is so i'm the one donating my chestnuts! i'm a chestnut philanthropist!

I'm still undecided over the whole boiled chestnuts versus roasted chestnuts debate... from my experience i've always had boiled ones cause that's just how mum makes it (oh dear~ it tastes so good when you have just FRESHLY boiled and they're so easy to peel!!) but i tried some roasted ones in the city and they just tasted so...bland. It may be because they weren't in season or maybe they didn't know how to cook them properly but whatever~ I WAS DISAPPOINTED T___T i wish they had more chestnut roasting places cause it was go expensive. $4.50 for 8. which is an absolute ripoff >__> *sad* maybe i'll just roast my own. OH YES let's have a chestnut party! and sit around in a circle around a coal bbq eating chestnuts *goes starry eyed*

LOL oh man. i should type a few words about what's going on in my life at the moment, but frankly not very much is happening at all :/ it's mainly uni uni uni~ it's winter here? did i mention that? ahaha so yeh it gets harder and harder each morning to get dressed and go out to uni. you see you have to have the right sort of gear for the weather! melbourne weather is crazy cause in the morning it's butt-freezing cold! but THEN it gets hotter during the day, which makes sense but OH SO INCONVENIENT *frowns* so i have like a massive thick jacket a scarf and 2 cardigans on and by the end of the day i'm carrying it all. ALSO our lecture theatres are never at the right temperature. on cold days it's WAYYYY TOO HOT. hot to the point that i need to make sure i'm wearing a tshirt underneath so i can be cool when i take all my winter gear off.

PHWOARRR~ how nerdy do i sound? hehehe *continues with my eccentric chemistry experiments*

i haven't lost any weight yet :( booo~ but i think i look slightly slimmer? I HOPE T_T yay for the gym :] *jogs while watching family guy* it is my motivation :D also did pilates with jessie and wow... that was pretty fun :] teeheehee *waves arms spasmodically around*

MASS NEWSPAPER BUYING

ooohers! pretty newspaper bench! teeheehee

so today i worked HEAPS from like 10am till 5:30pm D: hehehe cause one of the pernament shop assistants was sick. awwwww~ i'm working again tomorrow too! :P

hmmm today was the 14th of February aka Valentines day... over all it wasn't too bad i guess? heheh i got a sweet message from a very thoughtful friend :D *thumps up* thanks alot youuuu~ you know who you are ^___^

anyway i had to blog cause just now, well like 3 hours ago something ROFL happened. so apparently recently the Herald Sun Newspaper has been running a competition where you play the game monopoly. you have to get 3 of the properties of one colour to win a prize. So tonight we went to my aunt's house for dinner and we found out she had been playing. That afternoon she'd bought a newspaper and was like OMG OMG OMG I THINK I WON A BBQ... but she couldn't confirm it cause the playing board was at her workplace at Kew (near the city :/)

she was all excited and like WHOAAAAA THIS IS SO COOL. since the comp ended in like 2 days she was like THIS IS LIKE MY LAST CHANCE TO WIN A CAR :O so after dinner I drove her to all the nearby petrol stations, shopping centres and supermarkets to buy newspapers.

and OMG At one newsagent she made me go in and buy ALL THE NEWSPAPERS THEY HAD LEFT. fair enough they only had like 8 left...BUT STILL @___@ it was just so ROFL walking out of the shop with the stack of papers xD especially when we ended up throwing it all out at the nearest bin and just keeping the scratchies xD at that time she was SURE 100% she had won a BBQ and an Ipod nano... and she suspected she won $5,000

but even then she still wasn't sure what she needed so she decided to go to her work place AT NIGHT to pick up her playing board to check. so what ensued was a 20 minute drive one way. when we got there we found out... *drum roll* SHE DIDN'T WIN ANYTHING! HGAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA we laughed so hard =.=;; it was just so funny how excited she got and how much effort we put into buying all these newspapers xD

on the way home we dropped by every single petrol station and bought a newspaper. but sadly she didn't win anything...YET. there's still 2 days left! hehehe well good luck to her! *yawns* well that's my excitement for today :] work again tomorrow! :D

achy feet from what i hear you query? well firstly I've been helping out at the chinese new year festival at sandown on saturday as well as sunday. oh man after all that I AM SICK OF NEM NUONG. @___@ i can't stomach BBQ chicken either... or BBQ corn. I still love banh kok but i can't eat it, well not for a while anyway. :/

hahaha so yeh, helped out and ate food! today i worked at my pharmacy all morning and then another night shift so it was like... OH EM GEEEEEE~ so tired ;____; and like there was this one customer who wouldn't WOULD NOT understand what all 3 of us were trying to tell them about the saline nose spray. They insisted they had to have 9% NaCl but...uhh...they're ALL ISOTONIC. =.=;; don't worry you non-science ppl. all u need to know is that he was annoying and we were late closing up cause of that customer. :] but i got home and ate... PHO! yummy! hehehe

ahhh i'm so tired. need to work tomorrow as well... @_________@ farrr out! hahaha but it's ok work so i shouldn't complain :] something i'm looking forward to is an upcoming JAPANESE FESTIVAL! :D this sunday the 17th as a matter of fact! i dunno who wants to go but i want to go! i think ppl just go and if we bump into each other we do, if we don't fair enough. THINK OF THE TAKOYAKIIIII~ YUM YUM YUMMMMMM~ hehehe there's also apparently an upcoming thai food festival! :O YAYYAYAYAYAYYYYYY more food celebrations! TT_______TT quite happy! hehehe.

mmm so tireddd~ OH I BOUGHT A SQUISHY STRAWBERRY PILLOW from the sandown festival! :O it's sooooo cool! hehehe i wished it smelt like strawberries then that would it awesome...but unfortunately it stinks :/ but tomorrow is hot so i think i shall hang it out to un-smell and then cuddle it to sleep tomorrow night :]

well it all started after i dropped my sis off at school and went to the gym! Wow... that STEP UP class is really something guys T____T KO'ed my legs so much! so many squatssss~ gah D:

anyhow then i ended up going on the treadmills with adri~ THEN WE WENT INTO THE SAUNA! <3

OH OH when we played peter and I tried out the AUSTRALIAN FORMATION from the GOLDEN PAIR! like the formation used in Prince of Tennis :P and like the one used by these japanese girls ;] i was Kogura! xD

yehhh~ atm everything is achy and i kind of did not help out with CNY fests today... but i shall be helping tomorrow? : D YAR HUH so don't you people worry :] i hope i recover in time ;___; maybe i should have a virtual hot bath (can't take baths cause it wastes so much water! so i'll just try to pretend i'm relaxed :x)

OH i got new grip for my tennis racket! YAY finally =.= ahhh i can't wait to play some more tennis! brings back awesome memories of those primary school days when we went to tennis with kristin, natalie, kate and I~ kristin checking out the other guys at the tennis club... ROFL HAHAHAHAHAHA ahhh good memories :P OH i watched FOOl'S GOLD yesterday! :O IT WAS REALLY FUNNY!! i was surprised cause they were genuine funny moments without like sex driven jokes, well except for one. it impressed me anyway :] ALSO matthew mcconaughey is really...very nice to look at ^____^;; especially in that movie since he's always sort of half naked xD

anyway i really need to relaxxxxx~ and stretch again. hopefully my muscle won't be stiff tomorrow... *crosses fingers*

Chinese New Year!

ahhh I just found out recently that quite a few of my friends still read my blog ;] so for all those people who read my blog to find out where i'm up to i'll give a quick update. >w<

So as you all know Chinese New Year is coming up and so for the past week I've been helping my Buddhist youth out ^____^ so lately i haven't been coming home till about...11:30pm. around that time I've been too KO'ed to call anyone or chat with anyone on msn hehehe~ sry guys :]

For 3 days straight I've been dancing and MC'ing at Parkmore with my buddhist friends. and just yesterday i was helping out at Sprinvale festival! : D omg i love festivals so much!

the food and the games and the rides. But the best is the FOOOOOD <3 oh man i can't remember what I had anymore xD there was just SO MUCH FOOD.
there was: Pork Jerky, minced beef wrapped in grape leaves(?), curry fish balls, Banh khok(?), Coconut juice, sugar cane juice, Dippin' dots ice cream, fried fish balls, tofu crab claws, fried banana, nem nuong . . . I think that's all : D and man was it so awesome @____@

I can't wait for the next festival at Sandown!! yum yum YUMMMM~ Ah. we also went on the scorpion ride, it was a tad disappointing ;/ just made us dizzy. OH i wanted to go on the jumping castle...but when I went to go ask they told me I was too biggggggg~ TT___TT unfair i'd say! hehehe.

but yes it was really fun ;] now i'm going to work for 2 days and then it'll be TEMPLE NIGHT FOR ME!! :D im really excited about that too! hehehe.

I loved mcdonald's toys! Who didn't? There were just so many, so eventually my mum would get fed up and throw most of them out :( but the tradition continues with my little sister! MUAHAHAHHAHAHA ah the awesome snoopy toys :3

Anyway. This post is just a recap of what's recently been happening. so yeh, i've been shopping recently since I didn't really buy anything during the boxing day sales. I THINK I'M GETTING MORE GIRLY! : D this is a good sign! i bought clothes from sportsgirl! aren't you guys so proud?! :B hahaha~ but considering I found a cardigan that is EXACTLY like the one my VCP girls got me for my birthday and I bought 2 of the same style but different colour... i guess it's not THAT much of an achievement : (

ahhh atm i'm a bit tired to study so i'm trying to free some space on my laptop by transferring music to my external hdd! oh man... i did not realise i had this many albums @______@ where did they all come frommmm~ T___T hahaha so anyway only 100/400gb left on my external hdd. :]

well there's not much to say really. I'm sort of poor again, but i'm hoping my finances will pick up after chinese new year! YAY! ohhh i'm looking forward to chinese new year again this year! so many interesting things will be happening and of course i'll hopefully blog about it as we get closer to the date. OH tomorrow my parents will be leaving for TASSIEEEE~ and i'll be joining them on the 22nd right after my exam! teeheehee~

mmm must get some more study done. :O

100th post!

huzzzzzahhh~ my 100th post on blogger :] how AWESOMEEE~ in honour of the occasion i googled random 100th photos ;]

currently I am addicted to chilled pineapple juice in those little juice boxes >.< sooo nice in the heat! hehehe. I just got back from Queensland camp with GDPT and i'm KO'ed with the flu. grrrr! I blame qld weather! where was my sun and beach and surf?! gah D: oh wells.

but camp was REALLY REALLY REALLY fun! everyone says it could be better, so now i'm all excited for the NEXT camp! hahahahahaha can't wait! also i'll be meeting up with all my new friends at the next camp as well. :O i can't wait! so once again another year has passed and nothing much has changed.

Last year this time I guess I was at home, still the same. now i weigh a little more, i'm a little older, a little more mature? hahaha who knows :/ now i'm more in control of future, yet my procrastinating is still very very much the same. darn! I still love my food, so that hasn't changed... I need to love exercise more!! hahaha I also need a proper bedtime so i'm not always so dazed. that would help i think? i'm going to try to be more organised as well, which reminds me I need to buy a yearly planner. I used one in my final year of school and whoa~ did it help heaps!

ho-hum, i'm still single but it doesn't naturally follow that i'm not liking it. enjoying this freedom very much! hehehe i don't think i'm mature enough or committed enough for something so demanding...hmph. Plus after realising the kind of "male specimens" i prefer are a bit hard to find (well i can't find them anyway ^_^;;) so i'll just cruise until "IT" happens.

now onto work and uni. I think i'll have to consciously try and make studying more fun for myself. I really don't want anymore supplementary exams! grrr. and plus i want to enjoy the studying side of uni rather than be all ARGAGH since uni IS about my career and my career requires study before i'm qualified. Plus i feel slightly guilty? for not putting more effort into 2007. with pharmacy work, that's really fulfilling, since throughout the year i'm getting from it what i'd imagined i'd get from my profession.

now to friends. whoa~ that's my reaction when i think of them. i'm really quite thankful for all of them. those from high school, others from uni, those from engineering, the group from gdpt and all the random people i keep meeting. ahhhh~ you guys make my life so much fun ^__^ even if sometimes it's hard to keep in touch with EVERYONE since there's so many in my life and my life isn't organised enough to allot everyone a bit of my time T___T but then I don't want to timetable my friends : ( it feels so forced! i prefer to just have events and meetings come as they come. that's why sometimes I can't go to all the stuff you guys organise, which makes me sad for giving the no-no but then i'm pretty sure (well i hope so) everyone understands. :] quyen needs quyen quyen time too guys! : D

ah i'm still very much the little loner who enjoys her books and her anime and her movies and especially her music ^____^ but then being with friends is so much fun too! hehehe i do what i do so yep :] what shall come shall come! but like every year i shall aim to have fun!
